If you have arrived in Siena by car, you need to have some advice on where to park without incurring fines or, worse, without having the car removed.
The historic center of Siena is a limited traffic area (ZTL).
There are luminous signs indicating the ZTL access gates and cameras at the entrances to identify offenders, who will be notified of a rather expensive penalty.

This large parking lot is located inside Porta Tufi. Piazza del Campo, the Torre del Mangia and Palazzo Pubblico are within a short walk. Open 24 hours.

Fortezza-Stadio
Among the largest in the city with almost 800 spaces, this parking lot is located near the Medici fortress and the splendid Medici walls of the city. The stadium is just a few minutes’ walk away, as is the historic center a short walk away. It is ideal for those arriving in Siena for the Palio, given its proximity to the center. Open 24 hours

** RAIL STATION **
The car park at the Siena rail station is one of the largest. It is the cheapest in the city. There is a free escalator that takes you near Porta Camollia to the Antiporto, close to the Ztl, connected to the historic center by numerous public transport lines that guarantee the passage of a bus every 15 minutes. It will also be easy to take a taxi from here, right in front of the station, which can take you to the apartments for a modest sum of around 10 euros. Open 24 hours

FREE PARKING IN SIENA

STRADA LATERINA
This small free car park near the municipal cemetery CALLED “lATERINO” is about 15 minutes walk from Piazza del Campo and the other monuments. It is often full so if you can’t find space, resign yourself to parking along the street just inside the Laterina gate or in “il Duomo” car park. You will find more parking on the street just outside the Porta San Marco, along the Giuggiolo municipal road.
VIALE MARIO BRACCI
This large avenue leading to the city hospital allows parking along one side of the road; you can park here and get to the center by public transport.
